Largest Straight Truck in Town
Located 6,224 feet above sea level at the intersection of I-25 and State Hwy 86, Castle Rock was originally home to the Arapahoe and Cheyenne people. The Homestead Act of 1862 and the prospect of Gold brought Jeremiah Gould and other settlers streaming into the territory, but it was Rhyolite Stone that was discovered in "them thar hills", not Gold that was chiefly responsible for the settlement of the area. In 1874, Jeremiah Gould donated land to the new town when the eastern Douglas County border was redrawn and "Castle Rock" was born.
